Efter att tidigare ha varit med och grundat it-säkerhetsbolaget Pointsec, som sedermera köptes upp av Check Point Technologies för 4,2 miljarder kronor, bestämde han sig för att dra igång ett nytt bolag. Alertsec, där Ebba Blitz är vd för det nybildade amerikanska dotterbolaget med samma namn, är ett av de senaste svenska tillskotten i Silicon Valley. Namnet är för många bekant efter karriären på TV4 på 1990-talet och programledarrollen i SVT:s ”Draknästet” men det är i företagsvärlden hon spenderat merparten av sitt arbetsliv. Man måste våga chansa lite i livet”, säger Ebba Blitz. Den 12 januari 2015 fick de sina visum beviljade och några timmar senare lyfte de från Arlanda.
